Hi, my name is Paul Lancaster (in Spanish it would be 'Pablo' Lancaster).
I'm from the UK, I'm a native English speaker, and I've been giving English lessons since 2015. I'm from a small town called Lymington which is on the south coast of England. Consequently, I have an accent which is 'neutral' and very clear, and what is often called a 'middle England' accent. I enjoy travelling, photography, engaging with people from other countries and cultures, and of course sampling their delicious cuisines.
I currently divide my time living in Valencia and working and travelling in various countries around the world. In Valencia I have a home in the Camins al Grau district and, as such, when I'm there I'm happily just a short walk away from the beautiful beaches of Las Arenas and Malvarosa, and the equally lovely Turia and City of Arts and Sciences.
As well as providing English lessons, I have worked as a freelance proofreader and editor since 2012, where I correct and improve documents written in English by students, researchers, authors and businesses, and who are predominantly non-native English speakers.
Before becoming self-employed I was a 'funcionario' working for the UK central government. During those 13 years I worked on the development of government policies and legislation in the fields of regional economic growth, town planning, sustainable urban design and national infrastructure provision.
In days gone by I attended the University of Manchester where I gained a degree in economics and a postgraduate diploma in development economics, and University College London where I gained a master's degree in economics of urbanisation. I have a TEFL qualification for teaching English.
